Farm to Table
We are hiring an experienced Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager for a modern,romantic, Italian wine bar & Pizza concept. Experience with Italian & Farm to table cuisine is a major plus!
Responsibilities
- Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station.
- Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be a self-starter, meticulous & have the ability to multi-task.
- Must be available evening hours.
- Team player & takes advantage of working beeside the EC performing daily duties.
- Ideal candidates will share the EC’s interest & enthusiasm for starch cooking, farm to table cuisine & locally sourced quality ingredients.
- Ensure a smooth operation & food is always served on a timely manner.
- Must take pride in creating beautifully plated dishes for all guests to enjoy.
